BUZZRACK Buzzracer 4 is a well-designed and solidly constructed bike holder, offering smart, sophisticated functionality, and excellent value for money.
Essential Ergonomics:
Buzzracer 4 is extremely easy to use and includes all the basic features necessary for a top-notch bike holder. Plus, it's incredibly strong.
Key Features of Buzzracer 4:
Assembly:
- Buzzracer 4 is not pre-assembled but is easy to assemble. First, the wheel support frame is attached to the base using 8 screws. Then, the light support is attached with 2 additional screws, the number plate is installed, plastic wheel supports are inserted, and the holder is mounted on the tow ball without the use of tools.
Vehicle Mounting:
- Once Buzzracer 4 is placed on the tow ball, it supports itself and does not fall to the ground. Then, the weight is taken again, and the tightening wheel is turned until it is securely locked. BUZZRACK's holders comply with the stringent XPR-18-904-4 standard, including an anti-swinging tensioner with an integrated handle; 2 or 3 turns are usually sufficient.
Lighting System:
- Buzzracer 4 comes with a 7-pin lighting system. A 7-pin to 13-pin adapter is not included.
Tilting:
- Tilting is easy and well-balanced, even with a full load. Buzzracer 4 sits relatively high on the tow ball, and the tilting function is optimized to prevent the lights from hitting the ground. The weight of the bikes helps bring the platform back to level in a controlled manner. However, the geometry does not allow for opening tall vertical tailgates, such as those on the VW Transporter T5 and T6.
Bike Transport:
The wheel holders can accommodate all axle distances, even small children's bikes. The long, rubber-padded wheel straps hold tires up to 3.25" wide; pull to tighten, and use the quick release to loosen.
Buzzracer 4 is suitable for carbon bike frames; the rubber-padded bike frame holders rotate 360 degrees and securely but gently hold any tube shape with rubber-padded straps.
The maximum allowable load is 60 kg, with no bike weighing more than 20 kg. Electric bikes up to 20 kg can be carried. The downtube size is limited to 75 mm in diameter (3").
Regardless of the type of bikes you have, load the heaviest ones closest to the vehicle, and there is a built-in lock cable to secure your bikes.
