Note how the inlet and outlets are staggered. The inlet is at the top of the cooler and the outlet is at the bottom. This design will force the air to flow through the whole cooler, not just straight across as other types where inlet and outlet are both on the top.
The high performance intercooler has the following Core Dimensions (520x200x150),offering a 50% larger face area and 70% more volume of air compared to the original intercooler. The performance of provides very good cooling properties. The end boxes of the charge air cooler are made of cast aluminum and were optimized using flow analysis in the CAD system. The intercooler kit was developed directly for the BMW 135i/335i. Assembly is done by replacing the OEM intercooler and is easy to perform. The original charge air hoses can still be used. Optimal cooling of the charged air with significant performance increase!
